Lady Flyers Celebrate Sophomore Day With Trimatch on Saturday

The Sandhills Community College volleyball team improved to 28-5 overall and 8-1 in Region 10 with a 25-8, 25-7 and 25-9 sweep of Virginia Peninsula CC on Friday afternoon at The Hangar.
Currently tied with Caldwell Tech for first place, the No. 6 ranked in DIII Lady Flyers wrap up Region 10 regular season play on Sophomore Day, on Saturday, entertaining the Gators (3-14, 2-7) again at 11 a.m. in the first game of a trimatch.
The Gators and the Clinton College junior varsity of Rock Hill, SC meet at 1 p.m. followed by the Lady Flyers versus Clinton at 3 p.m.
Kristin Dodds was credited with a team-high 10 kills in the victory over the Gators from Hampton, VA. Caroline Bradford recorded six service aces and another sophomore, Nikki Lambert was the leader in digs with seven.
On Adult and Teen Challenge Day at Sandhills, recent Sandhills graduate Isaiah Cohen spoke to the audience between sets about his life journey and involvement with the faith-centered recovery program for those struggling with life-controlling addiction that is based in Carthage.
