Flyers Beach Volleyball Welcomes Alyssa Ingle

The Sandhills Community College Flyers are thrilled to announce Alyssa Ingle as the latest addition to the beach volleyball program for the fall of 2025. A standout athlete from Wakefield High School, Alyssa brings seven years of volleyball and beach volleyball experience to the Flyers.
Standing 5'9", Alyssa excels as a blocker and hitter. Her impressive accolades include being named Academic All-Conference twice, Athletic All-Conference, and her high school's Offensive Player of the Year. She has also qualified for beach volleyball nationals for the past two seasons, highlighting her talent and dedication on the sand. In addition to her athletic achievements, Alyssa excells in the classroom, recognized as "Best All Around" in physical science and actively participating in her school's drama club.
Alyssa credits the Sandhills coaching staff as her reason for joining the program. "I'm really looking forward to building new relationships with my future teammates and being a stepping stone to build a bigger and stronger beach volleyball program," she shared.
Her favorite aspect of beach volleyball is the unique environment it offers. "The atmosphere is so much more laid back and stress-free but still competitive and fun," Alyssa said.
Alyssa's background includes competing with Raleigh Volleyball Club for indoor and Cap City Volleyball Club for outdoor volleyball, showcasing her dedication and versatility.
Flyers head coach Alicia Riggan expressed her excitement about Alyssa joining the team: "We're excited to welcome Alyssa, a talented beach volleyball player, to the program. She will be joining the Flyers as a hitter and blocker. With her athleticism and passion for the game, she's going to make a strong impact on the sand."
