SCC Men's Golfers Wrap First Fall Meet, Kroustalis Leads Way

The Flyers men's golf team posted a fifth place finish at their season opening showing in Raleigh at the Eagles Cup. Hosted by Wake Teach, the cup featured nine NJCAA schools with SCC's Nick Kroustalis garnering medalist honors with his two day 141 (70-71), one under par effort. Kroustalis, a Sandhills' veteran was joined in the top ten by Flyers newcomer Evan Johnson. Johnson improved on a nervous 81 to shoot 74 the second day.

SCC's team total of 620 was only eleven shots back of the winning 609 posted by Cape Fear Community College.

The Flyers have a short turn around between now and their next event in Rocky Mount, NC host by NC Wesleyan College starting Monday, September 27.
