Bio

Mya enters her second season for the Flyers. Mya comes to Sandhills from Pembroke, North Carolina and Purnell Swett High School. She is the daughter of Roshawna Sencenbaugh and James Heath Jacobs. She has four siblings, Donavan and Devin Deese and Michaela Williams and Madelyn Jacobs. In high school she was awarded the heart and hustle award as a member of her volleyball team. Mya was also a member of Beta Club, The National Honors Society, and NASA Club. Her favorite food is Pizza. Favorite movie is SharkTale. Her favorite color is blue and her role model is her grandpa. She enjoys cleaning and hanging out with her friends. Mya has been playing volleyball since the 7th grade. In her freshman year for the Flyers she played in 20 matches, 33 sets, she had 1 assist, 2 aces, and 20 digs. Mya receive Third Team NJCAA Academic All-American. She was voted by team and coaches for the 2019 Flyers Award. Mya is double majoring in Civil and Architectural Engineering at Sandhills Community College.
