Bio

Coach Towns returns to his 3rd season for the Flyers coaching staff along with assistant coaches and former teammates Tramaine Pride and Markell Lotharp from the 2012 title squad. Coach Towns and Pride were also former players for Coach Mike Apple at Pinecrest High School.

Towns desire to help the community and the basketball team at his alma mater, is what drove him into coaching at Sandhills. He uses his deep player experience with Coach Apple to help his current players learn the "Sandhills Way" of basketball. 

Coach Towns is a 2022(Player) and 2012(Team) Sandhills Hall of Fame inductee. In his sophomore year Towns collected the 2012 NJCAA National Tournament MVP, 2012 All NJCAA National Tournament Team, and 2012 Region X First Team. As a Freshman at Sandhills Towns earned 2011 Region X All Freshman Team.

Towns lives in Pinebluff and works as a seafood specialist in the meat department at The Fresh Market in Southern Pines.
