Sandhills Flyers Fall to Flight 22 in High Scoring Battle

In a thrilling matchup Saturday, the Sandhills Community College Flyers faced off against Flight 22 at home. Despite a valiant effort, the Flyers were defeated 105-94.

Flight 22's offense was led by Jayde Braswell, who scored 26 points, and Markell Hollis, who added 25 points and 7 assists. Corey Hairston also contributed significantly with 21 points. The team shot an impressive 53.5% from the field and 87.5% from the free-throw line.

For the Flyers, Damien Robinson was a standout performer, recording a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Antoine Piper also had a strong game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Isaiah Upchurch chipped in with 16 points.

The game was competitive throughout, with Flight 22 leading 45-38 at halftime. The Flyers fought hard in the second half, scoring 56 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Flight 22's offensive firepower.

The Flyers will look to bounce back Wednesday night at Pitt, as they take on the Bulldogs at 6:30pm in Winterville, NC. They will return home for the final game before the semester break on Friday night at 6pm hosting Catawba Valley Community College.
