Bio

Mia Sanchez-Hernandez, a 5’6" defensive specialist and outside hitter, brings her talents from San Antonio, TX, to Sandhills Community College. She is pursuing an Associate’s degree in Science. Mia attended Jack Britt High School, where she excelled in track & field, cross country, and volleyball. Her high school accomplishments include being a United & Women’s Conference champion and earning first place in the 4x800 relay.

Known as “Mimi” to her friends, Mia’s favorite food is lasagna from Olive Garden, and she loves the color lavender. Her role models are her sister and parents, who have always supported her athletic and academic endeavors. Mia’s favorite song is “FE!N” by Travis Scott. She enjoys running, working out, and playing volleyball. Mia is also active in community service, participating in events like concessions, Trunk or Treat, and selling raffle tickets at football games.
