Sandhills Community College Flyers fans, please join us in welcoming Addie Duggins, a dedicated and skilled volleyball player who has signed her letter of intent to join the Flyers' beach volleyball team for the 2024-2025 season. Addie brings with her eight years of experience, having honed her skills as a defensive specialist (DS) at Uwharrie Charter Academy, where she earned the "Eagle" Award and helped lead her team to a commendable overall record of 20-7 as a senior.
Addie's volleyball journey also includes playing for the Fusion Volleyball Club. Standing at 5'6", she is known for her quickness and high volleyball IQ, qualities that will undoubtedly make her a valuable asset to the Flyers.
Off the court, Addie has demonstrated leadership and a commitment to community service. She was a member of the Key Club during her first two years of high school and currently serves on the leadership team for a student-led children's ministry at her church. She also volunteers at a church camp, primarily during the summer.
Addie chose Sandhills Community College for its welcoming atmosphere, beautiful campus, and supportive staff. She looks forward to being part of something bigger than just a team and continuing to play the sport she loves.
Flyers head coach Alicia Riggan expressed her excitement, saying, "We are excited to have Addie join our Beach Volleyball family. She is going to be a great addition to the sand."
