We are excited you are interested in our college and athletic program. Our goal is to provide student athletes with a first class junior college athletic experience. There are three main areas of importance for you as a recruit studying our program.
Success at Sandhills begins and ends in the classroom. Experienced, knowledgeable, caring and quality faculty is where you begin. Along the way our renowned tutoring center, academic labs or other support groups assist you in becoming your best. Our coaches and athletic director work with other faculty and staff to monitor your progress and make sure you are connected with help you may need. Small class sizes and a proven track record of success after Sandhills guarantees you a first class academic experience.
You will experience community at many levels. Our campus community is in one word, helpful. Not only will you experience this on campus with faculty and staff – you will see them at games and around town. It is exciting to witness the student support at home and away athletic events. Pep rallies feature contests, music and prizes. Our surrounding community has demonstrated tremendous interest in attendance, fundraising and excitement for Flyers athletics. SCC and the surrounding towns (Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen) will embrace and welcome you into the Flyers family.
We will provide you with a first class experience in every aspect of your sport. Coaching, facilities, gear, travel, support staff; all the tools you need to improve and showcase your talents are here. Our goal is to prepare you for success after you leave Sandhills – on and off the court/course. Success is contagious, in a short time our teams have accomplished quite a bit of national acclaim. We hope you will be part of continuing the tradition.
