Rent 'The Hangar'

The athletic department does offer Heins Gymnasium, "The Hangar," for rent for tournaments, practices, and individual use. A fees schedule and contract is available for review by calling the Athletic Director Mike Apple at 910-246-2864 or applem@sandhills.edu, who will determine the acceptibility of the request.

• Rental rates are $25 per hour with a $200 per day maximum.
• An SCC Facilities Usage Agreement and "The Hangar" Usage Contract must be submitted and processed (including appropriate insurance requirements).
• Depending up the type of event, a user may incur additional costs for facility supervisors, police and custodial services.
• For individual and practice rentals, no outsiders or spectators are allowed in the facility during the session.  Use is restricted to teams and coaches, and sessions are limited to campus hours when Security is on duty.  
• The athletic department reserves the right to negotiate different terms if beneficial to the college.
• Events may be denied if deemed to conflict with college offered events, services, etc.

NOTE: The 2018-19 fall and spring semester contracts for use will be honored.  Beginning with Summer 2019, the new rates chart will be applied for contracted use of The Hangar.
