Mains Signs with Flyers

The Sandhills Community College Flyers volleyball team added Anyssia Mains to the fall 2024 recruiting class Tuesday afternoon. In high school at Purnell Swett Mains played primarily in the Middle and on the Right Side.

Anyssia not only excelled in volleyball throughout her high school career, but also earned letters in basketball and soccer. Her commitment to both academics and community service is reflected in her membership in the National Honors Society and participation in the Beta Club.

Head Coach Alicia Riggan expressed her excitement about Anyssia joining the Flyers, emphasizing her dedication and versatility on the court. Coach Riggan remarked, "Anybody that comes from Coach Corey's program, we know is going to be well-coached and have a good work ethic. She reached out to us about (Mains) and she came down and visited, and she seems like she'd be a great fit for our program. She's going to be a great addition to our front line, she's going to work hard and she's excited."
