Flyers Fall in Four to Eagles

The Sandhills Community College Flyers faced off against the Wake Technical Community College Eagles last night in Raleigh with Wake Tech emerging victorious by a score of 3-1.

Sandhills took the first set 25-20, but Wake Technical bounced back, winning the next three sets with scores of 25-19, 25-21, and a close 28-26 in the fourth set.

Statistical leaders for the Flyers included Ellie Everhart with 11 kills, Cassidy Jewett with 8 kills, and Lannah Huneycutt with 15 assists. Dajsha Fields contributed 5 kills, Sydney Garner  14 assists, and Emma Brown 6 digs respectively for the Flyers. 

The Flyers will return to the Hangar on Saturday September 23rd for a tri-match with Patrick and Henry Community College and USC Sumter. Sandhills will take on Patrick and Henry in a Region 10 game at 11am then play USC Sumter at 3pm to close out the day. In between, Patrick and Henry will take on USC Sumter in a non-region game. 

Saturday is Camp Day for the Flyers and all summer volleyball camp attendees will be admitted free of charge and recognized during the games. Campers are encouraged to wear their camp t-shirts to the game.
