Sandhills Community College Golf Team Secures Victory at Pfeiffer Falcon Shootout

The Sandhills Community College golf team demonstrated their prowess at the Pfeiffer Falcon Shootout, clinching a well-deserved victory at the Forest Oaks Country Club. Led by standout performances from Ben Read and Watcharakan Chankarn, the team showcased skill and determination throughout the tournament.

Ben Read's consistent play earned him a tie for second place with a score of 143 (72-71), while Watcharakan Chankarn's solid performance landed him in a tie for fifth with a score of 145 (72-73).

Supporting the team effort, Liam Harris contributed to the success with a score of 147 (74-73), securing a top-ten finish. Daniel Aitken and Landon Cabingas also played crucial roles, posting scores of 152 (74-78) and 157 (80-77) respectively.

In the team standings, Sandhills Community College emerged victorious with a combined score of 586 (292-294), edging out Methodist University (B) by two strokes.

The triumph at the Pfeiffer Falcon Shootout reflects the team's dedication and skill on the course. With this win, Sandhills Community College golf team continues to build on their success, and will look to carry the momentum to their final event of the spring this weekend at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate hosted by East Carolina University and Elon University.
