Flyers Defeat Roadrunners in Region 10 Opener

The Sandhills Community College basketball team was sharp from the start in its Region 10 conference opener and rolled to 107-62 victory over Dabney S. Lancaster on Friday in Clifton Forge, VA.

The Flyers (11-6) and Roadrunners (9-4) go right back at it in Armory Gym on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Taking command early, the Flyers built a double digit lead in the first six minutes of the game and expanded it to 61-21 at halftime. They made 51.2 per cent of their shots from the field in the game and were 19-for-22 from the free throw line.

Bryan Quiller posted his second double-double in a row, finishing with 18 points and a dozen rebounds.

Joey McMullin contributed 13 points, Keagan Brayboy and Darryl McCaster each scored 12 and LeNijel Robinson added 11.
