Flyers Take Two From Eagles

The Sandhills Community College Flyers Women's Beach Volleyball team clinched two impressive 4-1 victories in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, showcasing their strength and determination on the sand courts. In a series of intense matchups, the Flyers displayed outstanding teamwork and skill across various pairs.

Leading the charge, Dajsha Fields and Lainey Mullins delivered a solid performance in the number 1 pair, while Caroline Bradford and Emma Brown dominated in the number 2 spot, securing two wins. Olivia Barlowe and Nikki Lambert split their matches in the number 3 pair, while Aydan Bullard and Jenna Luquer demonstrated exceptional teamwork to secure two victories in the number 4 spot. Alyssa Maragelis and Alexis Hinson rounded out the lineup with two wins in the number 5 pair.

Despite trailing in the 2's and 4's pairs during the first game, the Flyers rallied back to claim victory, highlighting their resilience and determination on the court.

Looking ahead, the Flyers are gearing up to host the Flyers Invitational this weekend on the beach courts at Sandhills Community College. The action kicks off at noon on Friday, March 22nd, with the Flyers facing off against Gaston College. Following that match, Gaston College will take on Richard Bland College at 2pm, with the Flyers set to challenge Richard Bland at 4pm. On Saturday, the Flyers will close out the event with a match against Catawba College at 2pm.
