Lady Flyers Record First Beach Volleyball Win of Season

The Sandhills Community College beach volleyball team (1-3) defeated Wake Tech 4-1 on Tuesday at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC for its first victory of the season. Earlier in the day, the Lady Flyers were defeated 5-0 by the host Catawba College, an NCAA DII team.

Next week Coach Alicia Riggan's squad heads to Hickory Point Beach in Tavares, FL for four matches in two days. On Friday the Lady Flyers meet Florida State College at Jacksonville at noon and Lake Sumter State at 2 p.m.

On Saturday they play two matches against St. Johns River State College at noon and 2 p.m.
